More control comes with more responsibility.
An own-your-agent requirement is different from a hosted Office subscription. Start by defining what you need to control and what you are prepared to operate.
Discuss an advanced setup ↗
Decide what ownership needs to mean.
You may want control over hosting, model accounts, source, data handling or the systems an agent can access. Those are separate requirements. Put them into the proposed scope rather than assuming one label includes all of them.
An agent download or self-managed environment should not be treated as a ready-made replacement for a supported hosted service. Confirm the actual deliverables and rights before choosing an approach.
Name the operating responsibilities.
Someone needs to own deployment, updates, monitoring, provider changes, usage costs and incident handling. The plan should also explain credentials, backups, access removal and what happens when a dependency fails.
A local test or a working component does not establish a complete production workflow. Define acceptance against the particular outcome and environment you intend to use.
Compare with the simpler path.
If your immediate requirement is business writing and saved work, hosted Office avoids unnecessary infrastructure work. If you genuinely need an advanced deployment, discuss that requirement separately. This page does not activate a download, grant a license or sell an unverified agent package.
Questions before you start.
Is Own Your Agent included in Office Solo?+
No. Office Solo is hosted drafting and organization. Advanced deployment requirements need a separate agreement.
Can I download a production agent here?+
No download or deployment is provided by this page. Confirm the available deliverables, license, responsibilities and costs in a scope discussion.
